bobRobert A. Ronzio, PhD, ND(h)

As the Executive Director and cofounder of the Institute, Dr. Ronzio advocates application principles of innovation for health education and biomedical research. In partnership with his wife Patricia of 28 years, he helped launch the Institute in 2012 initially to apply insight-motivated learning to medical non-adherence. Dr. Ronzio serves as a consultant for application of clinical nutrition to promote healthful aging. He is also the author of The Encyclopedia of Nutrition and Good Health (Facts on File, NY) and a regular contributor to the Textbook of Natural Medicine (Naturally-occurring Antioxidants.)

In a career spanning more than 50 years, Dr. Ronzio's research has included topics such as vitamin B12, brain metabolism, pancreatic function and digestion, and application of nutritional phytochemicals and functional foods. Research at Michigan State University was supported by National Institutes of General Medical Sciences, National Institute of Arthritis, Metabolism and Digestive Diseases and the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation.

Following his interest in Integrative and Complementary Medicine, Dr. Ronzio was a faculty founder of Bastyr College of Natural Health Sciences, now Bastyr University. As professor and departmental chair, Dr. Ronzio developed state-of-the-art nutrition programs (B.S. and M.S. degrees) while promoting research in natural medicine. He later developed holistic protocols to treat functional somatic syndromes including Fibromyalgia.

Dr. Ronzio applied his scientific and educational expertise to STEM education for elementary schools in Austin, TX. He was a mentor for Eagle Scouts (Boy Scouts of America). He currently enjoys hiking, backpacking, cycling, landscape painting, and learning from six amazing grandsons.

As co-founder of the Institute, Patricia brings her extensive experience as a stress and wellness consultant and life coach for over 20 years as founder of New Paradigm Coaching.com. As a Wellness Director for 9 1/2 years, Patricia designed and directed innovative employee wellness programs for counties and 260+ school districts across Texas and Arizona. As a corporate wellness consultant, she brings health and wellness to the workplace, promoting employee health and productivity.

Ms Ronzio incorporates the principles of insight problem solving to help individuals effectively manage stressors, work more efficiently, make healthy choices, resolve relationship issues and fulfill life-long goals. She is passionate about helping clients get off the stress rollercoaster and experience breakthrough stress relief solutions to achieve a Healthy Body, Peaceful Mind, Vibrant Spirit and Balanced Emotions.

She is sensitive to world cultures and coaches clients in many countries. Canadian born and English grown, her first career as a linguist [French, German and Italian] involved extensive travel throughout Europe and understanding different cultures.

Together with her husband Bob of 28 years, she helped launch the Institute. Her favorite pastimes are hiking, especially up to alpine lakes, cycling, reading and planting flowers and vegetables in the back garden.
